   1. Introduction

SpaceMonger can be customized in lots of ways with just its Setup box, but you can go much further than that. All of the text and all of the menus that you see can be changed to read anything you want and do anything you want. For starters, this means that if a menu does not have exactly the contents you want in the order you want, you can change it. But you can go much further. Since all of the text can be changed, you can also produce foreign-language translations of the program (even to really strange languages, like Warez-speak or Klingon or Quenya).

This document will describe everything you need to know about changing SpaceMonger's text, images, and layout to suit your needs. Bear in mind, however, that if you change it and it comes out looking really weird or the program even breaks, don't blame us; we only make sure that the program will work with the text and images we include. Anything that you change is your responsibility, not ours. That said, customization can be useful and fun, it's not that hard to do, and it probably won't break anything, so feel free to customize to your heart's content.
